THEME THURSDAY: BELL

(5 of my favorite cloche/bell and near cloche styled hats. The black lace trimmed one in the middle was a gift from Paula.)

In case you haven’t noticed from my profile picture or other random photos on this blog, my favorite hats just so happen to be cloches. The name of course is French for Bell. I’ve acquired many of them over the years and must say that one of my favorite cloches was given to me by a dear friend and Tea Society member, Paula Porter. In memory of Paula’s long battle with cancer, for others battling this disease, and for Barry’s triumphant completion of chemotherapy, I shall toss my bell shaped hat in the air and clap and rejoice in honor of all of you. Congratulations Barry!

This is for you!

I have to admit it, I've never heard of a cloche but I have been over whelmed by the support I have been getting and all the cloches (er, bells) that have been ringing.

I am humbled and delighted.

I wonder what my wife would look like in a cloche?

Barry, I would imagine she would look lovely in one:)...

How sweet. I didn't know cloche meant 'bell' (really should start learning since I'm visiting France at the end of the year). Do you wear them or are they just for show?

You do have quite the collections of hats! I'm sure you look stunning in each of them. Hope you have a lovely weekend! The Bach

What a charming blog! And I love the background music. Thank you for your kind & encouraging words at my blog today; I appreciate you taking the time.

It was meant to be ~ as I will pass your thoughtful acronym onto my sister in due time. Her youngest (2 yrs. old) just had her 4th chemo tx. last evening.

God Bless your journey =-)
