Happy Birthday Sweet Rosebud

Today my daughter turned two and we've spent the day celebrating with family. Happy birthday sweet Katherine Elizabeth. This sweet song reminds me of you...

The Song Of The Rose Fairy
by Cicely Mary Barker

Best and dearest flower that grows,
Perfect both to see and smell;
Words can never, never tell
Half the beauty of a Rose --
Buds that open to disclose
Fold on fold of purest white,
Lovely pink, or red that glows
Deep sweet - scented. What delight
To be fairy of the Rose!

She's just gorgeous! Happy, happy day! She was almost a Christmas baby, huh! :)

Happy Birthday to your beautiful Rosie Bud! She certainly looks more mature than her two little years. Just think, 14 years from now she will be driving and there will be boys! Savor the young years, they fly by so quickly.

Betsy, you know, her due date was New Years Eve and I truly knew in my heart that she would come on the 28th. I just had this overpowering feeling that I would give birth on that day and I did. It was so bizarre..

Willow,
It's funny, she does look more mature. After the church pageant we had so many people tell us that we were going to have more suitors than we know what to do with after her. I'm not looking forward to time passing so fast:-(

Melody, thank you. She has my maternal Grandfather's coloring to a "T"( the black Irish, it's called) with dark hair, ivory skin, and blue eyes. My mother and mother-in-law both have blue eyes.

Yes, the terrible 2's have arrived and she's a dynamo for sure. But, a lovable dynamo. ;^)
