TEA OF THE WEEK: BIGELOW'S POMEGRANATE PIZZAZZ

I would like to offer a new weekly feature from The Ladies' Historical Tea Society. Every week( on Thursdays or Fridays)I will recommend a different tea for members and blog readers to try. This week's tea is Pomegranate Pizzazz from Bigelow. This is a caffeine free herb tea blend of apple, hibiscus, blackberry leaves, pomegranate, orange peel, and licorice root. It is a delicious fruity tea and one that is fitting served hot or as an iced herb tea with a sprig of mint or lemon balm...I've been drinking this tea most of this week and have had it both ways but I always prefer it hot. Enjoy!

It's such a pretty color! And pretty teapot and cup and saucer, too. This will be a fun regular feature, Rebecca!

Rebecca this sounds and looks delicious. Your setting with the vase of Hydrangea fresh out of your beautiful garden, is perfectly lovely....I do like that little tea pot. :) Blessings for a nice evening...

Charming cup and teacup. I have long enjoyed rosehip and hibiscus tea...that element of tarty fruity goes down nice. I think I will enjoy this new feature---capital idea.

Like you, I prefer the fruity teas hot.

It's odd, Rebecca, but I haven't come across any lemon balm being sold this year. In the past it was always abundant in flats with other herbs. I wonder if it's losing popularity up here?

Thanks everyone...I look forward to drinking lots more flavors to blog about...The teapot was a great find in Huntington, WVA...Lovely little shop...It's my favorite and the ladies love when I use it at afternoon tea events...

Welcome Pamela Terry and Edward! Thank you for the kind words and please come back for tea anytime.

Lavinia, you should have seen the lemon balm I had to pull out of the garden...It sure takes over! That's odd that it's not very available up there. It's a great herb!

Yes, great colour. I've never been into anything but strong black English style tea but lately I've tried branching out into herbal teas just to save on having so much caffeine. I've grown to like Black cherry but this one looks quite good too.

I love the idea of your weekly spot and will look forward to catching these.

Hello Betsy...I'm so glad you like the tea cup. I have a definite love for creamware. It's Wedgwood Patrician. You've given me a great blog idea:-)...Thank you for sparking some inspiration...
